About the project

This series pictures interior spaces on the USS Hornet, a retired aircraft carrier docked in Alameda, California that was active in World War II and Vietnam. The photographs  show decommissioned living and working environments—mundane spaces that make up the military machinery. Gallery presentation of the images includes texts from the ship’s log and other sources applied directly to the wall.
